I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could. I'm originally from Battle Creek, Michigan (home of Tony the Tiger). I've got two kids who take up most of my time out of the office, but when I get "me time", I'm either taking in some live music or a sporting event. Since relocating, I also fell in love with the Texas music scene. I've been lucky enough to be nominated for DJ of the Year 4 straight years by the Academy of Texas Music, and was the 2009 recipient of the Academy's Palmwood Award. I'm a huge sports fan, and my loyalties are with the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago White Sox and (sorry) the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Company Turns Ashes From Dead People Into Vinyl Records
"When the album of life finally reaches the end wouldn't it be nice to have that record spinning for eternity?" AndVinyl.com, a website that offers the opportunity to have your ashes pressed into a vinyl record, poses that question. That's right, you can be laid to rest spinning at 33 1/3 rpm!
Watch a Bumblebee Give a High Five, Because You Will Never See it Happen Again
I watched 'Bee Movie' with my son, who was seven at the time. He loved it. However, the film, about bees talking and living among humans, demanding human-like rights and doing human things was lost on me. I didn't buy into bees acting like people. I was a non-Bee-liever.
But how ridiculous is this story plot? New video evidence shows that 'Bee Movie' may not be such a far-fetched idea.
Dave Discovers Nina Conti, a Hilarious Comic Who is Safe to Watch With Kids and Coworkers
I caught myself spending too much time on Facebook again recently, and came across a video one of my friends posted. I don't usually mess around with video clips over a minute long, but for some reason I clicked this one. And it turned out to be worth the extra time.
My Love of Twizzlers Surfaces as My Townsquare Media Coworkers Eagerly Point Out
I was walking through the hallway of the Townsquare Media studios, when I noticed an odd-looking, handwritten note posted on the door of the on-air studio I use on a daily basis. This message was not so much instructional as it was a commentary on just how many Twizzlers I'm capable of consuming in a day...
Dave Relives His Childhood by Taking His Kids Through the Car Wash
A fond memory I have of my childhood is when my mom would surprise me and my younger brother, Greg, with a trip through the car wash. It was always such a pleasant, wonderful surprise when she pulled our family station wagon into the full service wash and asked for the "hot wax". What followed was 2-3 minutes of childhood bliss. I'm happy to report that some things never change, and my k
Doctors Inject HIV Into Girl Dying of Cancer in an Attempt to Fight ‘Fire With Fire’
My brother Jeff is a cancer survivor, and has a particularly soft spot in his heart for children who battle the disease that knocked him down, but not out. Jeff shared a video that absolutely shocked me, and I'm still having trouble wrapping my brain around.
Seventh Grade Girl Kicked Off the Football Team Because ‘Boys Have Lustful Thoughts and Bad Language’
Strong Rock Christian Middle School in Georgia will be missing a Defensive Tackle from their football roster this fall after being kicked off the team. Not because of bad grades, or poor behavior, or even for lack of talent. The explanation for dismissing 12-year old Maddy Blythe is what has people up in arms.
My Birthday Floral Arrangement is a Sight to Behold, and I Wonder if I Can Keep it Alive
It was my birthday yesterday. For employee birthdays, the company has a tradition of having a gift delivered to the office from Baack's Florist. Because it landed on a Sunday, I had to wait a day to get my gift from my coworkers, a lovely arrangement of, uh, flowers? Plants? Both?
Okay, I have no idea what is sitting on my desk.
Is This Real or Fake? Drunk Girl at a Wedding Who Crashes a Tent + Bloodies the Brides’ Nose
I've seen enough videos on the internet that had me saying, "Unbelievable!", like the video of the little kid singing in a guitar shop. But this clip of a wedding reception gone wrong seems so overboard, I don't think it's real.

Watch 60,000 Fans Sing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ at a Green Day Concert in London
Wayne and Garth would have been so proud. As fans waited for Green Day to take the stage at London's Emirates Stadium earlier this month, the crowd of around 60,000 broke into a massive sing-along as the Queen classic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' played during the intermission leading up to the pop/punk band's set.
