Abilene Area Cosplay Feature

Cosplay, which is short for costume play, is a performance art where guys and gals will wear costumes and accessories for a cartoon, comic book or any number of different characters. It seems to be getting more more popular these days. So, I set out to find some local cosplayers. And, we're excited to bring you our first Abilene Area Cosplay Feature of the Week - Annaka Vader.

Annaka is a Texan cosplayer who has been doing it since 2011. She has a very wide variety and unique approach with her cosplays, and is best known for her take on her Lady Magneto cosplay as well as many other gender bend twists.

She has been featured on many cosplay sites for her take on cosplays, and was also a finalist in the Otaku House Cosplay Idol Finalists 2013 for North America. She has been published in We Rise Magazine 2013 and Gametraderslive 2013.

She will be a featured cosplay guest and costume judge at The Heart of Texas Comic Con in 2014 and Tyler Rose Con in October.

In addition, Annaka really loves and supports the cosplay community and helps raise funds for charitable donations with her prints at conventions.
