It’s finally feeling like fall in Texas with cooler temps, spooky vibes, and pumpkin-everything in sight. But for some of Abilene’s urgent pets, there’s nothing festive about another day behind kennel bars.

Time’s Running Out for These Sweet Pups

The list may change every week, but the urgency in Texas never does. All Kind Animal Initiative is once again packed to the rafters, and 14 dogs are now on the Urgent List, meaning they desperately need a foster or adopter right now to avoid being out of options.

These dogs didn’t do anything wrong. They’re just out of time and out of space. Every kennel is full, and new animals are arriving daily. Whether you can open your home for a few days or forever, you could literally be the reason one of these pups lives to see next week.
