‘Two and a Half Men’ Season 11: CBS Confirms Renewal, Comments on Angus T. Jones

Two and a Half Men Season 11 CBS Confirmation

Late last week word broke that CBS’ long-running powerhouse ‘Two and a Half Men‘ would return for an impressive 11th season, though conflicting reports emerged about “Half Man” Angus T. Jones remaining with the series or not. Now, CBS has stepped in to officially confirm the series renewal, including stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer, clarifying what role Angus T. Jones will have going forward as well. Get the scoop on ‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11 inside!

Eleven seasons may seem like an inordinately long time to stay with a sitcom, but ‘Two and a Half Men’ star Jon Cryer is happy to do exactly that. CBS has officially confirmed that Cryer and co-star Ashton Kutcher will return for an eleventh season of ‘Two and a Half Men,’ each netting about $700,000 per episode.

On the subject of fellow series star Angus T Jones, however, CBS’ press release could only thus far clarify that “Producers are in discussions with Angus T. Jones about a recurring role next season while he is attending college.” As most remember, Jones’ infamous “Forerunner Chronicles” rants put the long-running CBS sitcom in a firestorm of controversy last year, wherein the young actor denounced the series that hosted him for ten seasons as “filth,” eventually apologizing for the videos.

Many around the internet took jabs at the series for losing the “Half Man” of its title, though the moniker would theoretically remain accurate if the now-grown up Jones were only present half the time in a recurring guest role. No word if rumors of bringing back prior guest star Miley Cyrus to fill the gulf will pan out, but more will presumably be announced at CBS’ impending Upfront presentation.

What say you? Are you glad to see ‘Two and a Half Men’ granted an eleventh season, even with Angus T. Jones kept in a recurring capacity? Where would you like to see the series wrap up?
