In Joe Namath-type fashion, quarterback Tony Romo has predicted that the Dallas Cowboys will not only go to the Super Bowl this next year, but even win it. And, of course, it was all captured on video.

Romo recently received the Nancy Lieberman Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dream Ball Gala in Dallas. During his almost 10 minute acceptance speech, which you can watch in the player above, Romo talked about winning a championship not just for himself but for Jason Witten, Jason Garrett and the Jones family.

But it's what he said at the end of the speech that is going to have Dallas Cowboys fans either giving each other high fives, or leave Romo haters shaking their heads.

"This award is very meaningful to me, mostly because I get to be associated with this and to be associated with Nancy. It's incredible and I really appreciate you, and we're going to win a Super Bowl next year. Thank you."[Dallas Cowboys Fan Channel YouTube]

Yeah, let that sink in for a minute.

Romo, who's broken just about every team passing record for the Dallas Cowboys, had one of the best seasons of his career last year after the Cowboys came two games short of making the Super Bowl. His bold statement comes just a few days after former Cowboys running back, Emmitt Smith made the prediction that the Cowboys would go to the Super Bowl if they signed Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

So, is this a sign of things to come? If we go by these latest predictions, the Cowboys will sign Adrian Peterson, and then go on to win the Super Bowl.

And, I'm cool with that.
