“If the question ever comes up do you like the Killers,” David Letterman said by way of an introduction to the band’s performance Thursday on the ‘Late Show With David Letterman,’ “let me tell you something: The answer is always yes.” With that, frontman Brandon Flowers and the band returned to the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater to perform ‘Runaways,’ the first single from their new album, ‘Battle Born,’ which dropped this week. Flowers sported a new look — a black leather jacket, an oddly shiny face and what looks like hints of gray hairs on the side of his sharp coif — for the performance, which found the band looking quite relaxed and very comfortable in their own skin. Four albums in and no doubt about it, the Killers are seasoned pros.
