The new trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man" is now online and, honestly, I have to say it looks like it will blow the other 'Spidey' flicks out of the water. See for yourself.

First of all, I liked the other movies.  I thought Tobey Maguire did a great job as spidey and overall the movies were pretty good.  At times, I felt they were a little cheesy and I did get slightly annoyed with Kirsten Dunst and her wicked screams.

This version, though, appears  a bit darker with more of a back story of Peter Parker.  I think the new spidey, Andrew Garfield, is going to be a killer one.  However, I do wonder if the fact that it looks to be darker will take away the "smart ass" factor that we have come to enjoy from the comics and cartoon version.

Maybe it's just the trailer that makes it look darker and the movie will be different?

I don't know, but it's got Emma Stone in it, who is funny as hell, so I can't imagine it being too dark.

We shall see. "The Amazing Spider-Man" hits theaters on July 3rd of 2012.

So, check out the trailer, then comment and let us know what you think about the new trailer.
