The Pantera and Damageplan axeman could play anything, and influenced the way metal guitar is played today. August 20, 2012 This December 8th, 2012, will mark 9 years since one of the greatest guitarists in rock history left this life. While that day was so devastating to his family, friends and fans, today, I'm choosing to reflect on the day that his life began. Happy Birthday, Dimebag Darrell.
DimeBash went off without a hitch last night (Dec. 14) at the Key Club in West Hollywood, Calif. Presented by ‘That Metal Show’ hosts Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson, the event boasted some of metal’s most legendary musicians paying tribute to the late Pantera / Damageplan guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott.
