As Maynard James Keenan and the rest of Puscifer prepare for the release of their new EP 'Donkey Punch the Night,' many fans are holding out hope for a 2013 release date for a new Tool album. While singer Maynard James Keenan recently insinuated there would be no new Tool album this year, he offers hope by stating in a new interview that he has been jamming on new material from both Tool and A Perfect Circle.
A Perfect Circle will strap on the instruments for a handful of one-off shows and festival appearances in the coming months, but the big question remains as to when we'll see new music from the band. Longtime A Perfect Circle drummer Josh Freese has announced his departure from the band. The group performed a handful of shows in 2011, but Freese was unable to accompany APC due to a scheduling conflict concerning Weezer, with whom Freese was touring member of from 2009-2012.
