Smashing Pumpkins will spend the next several months on a world tour that includes headline dates and festival appearances sprinkled all over the globe, the band announced today. Expect a set list that covers the group's entire songbook, from the classics of the early to the mid-'90s through 2012's 'Oceania.'

According to a press release, visual artist Sean Evans will once again join the band for most of the tour dates and provide backing imagery. What's more, Billy Corgan and co. will reportedly employ brand-new video-mapping technology to create crazy effects, the likes of which audiences have never seen.

More dates will be announced soon, and it's worth noting that the March 23 gig in Mexico seems to support rumors the Pumpkins will hit SXSW in Austin next week.
