In memory of legendary metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio, a second annual awards and concert gala to benefit his ‘Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund’ has been scehduled to be thrown on Halloween night. This year’s King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Award will go to Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, who recently announced he was battling lymphoma.

The event will be held at The Avalon in Hollywood, Calif., with ticket prices are being offered from as low as $200 all the way up to $12,000. Guests will enjoy a costume contest, both silent and live auctions, gourmet food, a fully hosted bar and a performance by Dio Disciples, which is made up of former Dio members Rudy Sarzo (bass), Simon Wright (drums) and Craig Goldy (guitar) along with one-time Judas Priest vocalist Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens.

At mentioned, Tony Iommi will be presented with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Award along with various other honors being presented to other recipients. That Metal Show’s Eddie Trunk will also be present at the event as special guest MC for the night.
