Randy Armstrong, bass player for the band RED, called in to the Rock 108 studios and we talked about their new album, their amazing stage shows, and who has the best BBQ between Texas and Tennessee.

The band, who will be back to rock Abilene this Sunday, are well known for their epic stage shows. I asked Randy what all goes into preparing for them.

"It's a huge undertaking. Months before an album is released, my brother (Anthony Armstrong) and I are working on designing sets and we've kind become known for as 'what can we expect from RED'...it almost becomes a Broadway thing."

When it comes to BBQ, Randy had a surprising answer (unless you're from Texas) when I asked him who does it best between Texas, and their home state of Tennessee.

"Oh that would be easy, that's Texas."

Couldn't agree with you more, Randy.

Check out the rest of the interview in the player above. And, be sure to pick up a copy of their new album "Beauty and Rage", in stores now.
