All-American cornerback Cliff Harris has been suspended indefinitely by the Oregon Ducks after a traffic stop Monday resulted in a variety of citations, including driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and failure to wear a seatbelt. He now faces nearly $1,000 in fines. The car, which reportedly belongs to a relative, was impounded.

This was Harris’ second driving-related suspension in less than five months. Last June, he was suspended after being pulled over for doing 118 miles per hour and driving on a suspended license in a rented car that was loaned to him by a university employee. Harris missed the Ducks’ first game, a loss to LSU, but was reinstated the following week. Oregon compliance officials are reportedly still looking into any potential NCAA violations that may have been committed if Harris was allowed to use a car rented by a university employee.

As a sophomore last season, Harris recorded six interceptions and an NCAA-best 23 passes defended. He also averaged 18.8 yards per punt return and set a school record with four punt return touchdowns.
