A day after 2K Sports dropped its first next-gen trailer for NBA 2K14, EA Sports followed suit with an extended look at NBA Live 14.

We haven't had an NBA Live game for a few years, so there are plenty of question marks about NBA Live 14. Most of those concerns have to deal with the core gameplay mechanics of offense and defense, and whether or not the long layoff will have led to a successful first entry on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

From a presentation standpoint, NBA Live 14 doesn't look bad in the above footage. However, like NBA 2K14's trailer, we shouldn't take what's being presented at face value. Trailers can be awfully deceiving. That said, Steve Nash looks like a bit of a heroin addict in NBA Live, at least comparatively to the NBA 2K version. We'll know more once the game actually arrives on Nov. 19.
