NASCAR Legend Ken Schrader Will Race the “Ice Breaker” This Weekend at Abilene Speedway

Ken “Kenny” Schrader is a NASCAR veteran of well over 20 years and Abilene will get the rare treat of meeting a driver of his caliber this coming weekend. Boasting over 200 top ten finishes and a handful of wins between NASCAR’s top 3 series, Schrader will bring his dirt track team to race Abilene Speedway’s season-opening event.
Fans of racing will love the “Ice Breaker”, which features races in 4 IMCA divisions, at Abilene Speedway.
Abilene Speedway’s season starts with the “Ice Breaker” and runs through mid-October when it wraps up with the Southern Challenge.
As far as Kenny Schrader is concerned, he’ll race ‘modifieds’ all 3 days this weekend and will also take part in a picture and autograph session on Saturday afternoon.
Here’s this weekend’s schedule at Abilene Speedway:
- Friday February 22nd: Gates open 4 pm – Races 7:30pm
- Saturday February 23rd: Gates open 3 pm – Races 7:00 pm
- Sunday February 24th: Gates open 11 am – Races 1pm
Admission each day costs $12 adults, kids 6-12 are $5 and 5 and under are free.
