Limp Bizkit‘s knack for silly album titles hasn’t waned over the years. The band that once brought us ‘Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water’ will return with ‘Stampede of the Disco Elephants,’ their first release on the Cash Money label, confirming an album title that had been rumored in recent months.

In a new interview with Kerrang! [via NME], Fred Durst reveals the new title, and explains, “‘Stampede’ has got to have something sizzling about it that’s more universally accepted. Some of the songs have an urban feel. We’re writing all different sorts of tracks and it seems like the songs going into that basket are ones that girls can like as much as guys who like to rock.”

The singer dodged questions about DJ Lethal and drummer John Otto, who recently let it be known via Twitter that they were at odds with the rest of the band and may not appear on the next album.

‘Stampede of the Disco Elephants’ is just one of the projects that Limp Bizkit currently has in the works. Durst revealed that the group is also working on an EP that will be the follow-up to their 2005 set, ‘The Unquestionable Truth, Part 1.’ He described the music for that project as “some crazy Limp Bizkit s—,” and added, “It’s like the leash has been taken off us and we’ve been given full rein to do as we please.”

While no release dates have been given for either project, Limp Bizkit did return earlier this year with the track ‘Ready To Go‘ featuring a guest appearance by their new labelmate, Lil’ Wayne. The group will break from the studio later this month to begin a European tour in Madrid, Spain.
