Larry Fields loves heavy metal. Not the style music, but literally the weight of all of the world championship belts and medals he has won in his career in martial arts.

Fields and Team Abilene just returned from the 2012 U.S. Open - ISKA World Championship in Orlando, Florida.

Like previous years, they came back with a bunch of world titles. 51 to be exact.

Larry and I have been friends for many years, so it's always a lot of fun to hear how he and his team does each year.

Trumping the success of years past, Team Abilene sent 28 competitors and came back with 51 worlds championships. That is simply amazing.

A very modest man, Fields also bragged about how well others from Abilene, including Chip Townsend from Team Chip, did in Orlando.

Basically, Abilene kicked butt.

Then again, you probably know that as it was aired on ESPN. If you missed it, then you can catch it here.
