2013 was a huge year for Queens of the Stone Age as they returned with the critically hailed '… Like Clockwork' album. But frontman Josh Homme has not forgotten about his other projects. The vocalist reveals that he's planning on collaborating with Jesse Hughes on another Eagles of Death Metal album while also discussing the status of his long-recurring 'Desert Sessions' project.

At present, Homme has been touring in Australia and New Zealand as part of Queens, sharing stages with Nine Inch Nails, but once he returns home, he'll start work with Hughes on another Eagles of Death Metal disc.

"I intend to go home and jump right back in," says Homme to New Zealand's 3News. "It's been tough, and I feel like responsible for it not being done, because I am here. I hate being at the epicenter of when something isn't happening. So I am going to go home and jump into that."

As for his other frequent project, the collaborative and recurring 'Desert Sessions,' Homme stated that it likely wouldn't happen this year. "As far as Desert Sessions goes, I was going to do a Desert Sessions this year, but we did some Eagles recording instead," says the singer. "Because Desert Sessions works best at a certain time of year, when everything slows and everyone takes a deep breath out. At the end of they year, in that December-January timeframe, everyone has exhaled. And post-exhale is the time to do something like that. So if I miss that window, I miss that window."

Whether it be Queens or Eagles of Death Metal, Them Crooked Vultures or Desert Sessions, one thing is clear -- Homme is all about the music 24/7. He concludes, "It's always been where I worship. I love those moments where things become something out of nothing. So that's why it's easy for me to go home to Eagles, because where there's no Eagles of Death Metal songs, soon there will be something. I guess I am sort of watching eggs being laid all the time."
