Frank Pain Takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Then Issues Challenge to Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has become more popular than bashing the government. Matt Bingham, of 96.5 The Fox in Bismarck, issued the challenge to me, so I accepted the challenge with pride then issued a challenge of my own.
I'm not 100% sure I adhered to the rules all the way but apparently you have 24 hours to respond to a challenge. Shortly after Matt challenged me, I took the challenge of pouring a bucket of ice water over my head to help raise awareness of ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease). When challenged, you either pour the ice water over your head or donate $100 to ALS.
Not only is this a great way for ALS to raise money, but it's an even better way of raising awareness of a disease that is commonly overshadowed.
I added a little twist to the challenge by shotgunning a beer before pouring the ice cold water over my noggin'. Afterwards, I challenged Kevin Vargas of KLAQ in El Paso, Johnny Thrash of the Buzz in Wichita Falls and the mighty Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. The chances of Grohl accepting my challenge are slim to none, but I had to do it because I'm the biggest Foo Fan on the planet and this was my only way of getting his attention without the issuance of a restraining order on his part.
