It's time for the 10th Annual 'Coats for Kids' drive. With your help, we can decrease the number of students who won't have a coat to wear during the coming winter months.

From Abilene to Eula to Anson and every school in between, there are students in need. These kids already have enough going against them, the least we can do is help keep them warm this winter.

This year's coat drive will not only help students in Abilene but other surrounding school districts as well. Please assist by donating a gently used or a new coat. We need all sizes, from ages 3 to 18. Monetary donations will be used to purchase new coats, so please give generously.

All donations are greatly appreciated. We also want to ensure that each coat donated is cleaned properly before giving it to a student in need. So we have teamed up once again with the awesome Lynn Ingram and Ingram Cleaners, who are our official drop-off location and cleaners of all coats and jackets.

When is the Coats for Kids drive?

This year's Coats for Kids drive is scheduled for October 30th through November 17th.

Where do I take my coat donations?

Please take all donations of coats and jackets to Ingram Cleaners which have two locations in Abilene at 1514 South Treadaway and 2666 Buffalo Gap Road. They are open 7 am-6 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am-1 pm on Saturdays.

What about monetary donations?

We are accepting monetary donations at the Townsquare studios in Abilene. You can drop off your donation between 10 am-3 pm Monday thru Friday at 3911 South 1st Street. If you're paying with a check, please write it to Townsquare Media and put "Coats for Kids" in the memo line.

We're needing approximately 2,000 coats for the combined schools participating in the Coats for Kids drive. Please donate generously. These kids depend on it.

For more information, send me an email and I'll respond as soon as possible.

Many thanks to Ingram Cleaners for their continued support through the years.

And finally, thank you in advance for all your generous donations to Coats for Kids. You're all the real heroes.
