Chevelle Hit Studio To Work on New Album, Offer Video Teaser

Chevelle
In De Goot Entertainment

While many bands are shutting down for the end of the year, this is also the time when a lot of groups take advantage of a respite from the road to begin work on new music. One of those bands is Chevelle, who are working on a new album.

In a new update on Facebook, the group offered a brief clip of frontman Pete Loeffler jamming guitar on a track with producer Joe Barresi offering some muffled instructions in the background. The video can be seen below:

Past posts have given fans a look inside the studio, with one post offering a look at the first day of guitar tracking, where the guys are mixing the amp and guitar combos to create “some heavy tones.” There’s also an up-close look at the ‘Studer’ Model A800 tape machine that the band is using for the recording process. As they state in the update, “It takes a little longer, but sounds amazing.” And finally there’s a photo of drummer Sam Loeffler, bassist Dean Bernardini and producer Joe Baressi working through some music in the studio.

The band’s current work will result in their seventh studio album. Chevelle spent the last year catching a bit of a breather while a hits collection kept fans occupied, but they’ll likely release their follow-up to 2011′s ‘Hats Off to the Bull’ sometime in 2014.
