SNL knows that it is a good thing in Bill Hader's wonderfully deranged Al Pacino impression and they put it to good use on last night's episode, having the incredibly talented performer play Pacino playing multiple roles. Parodying Pacino's involvement in HBO films like 'You Don't Know Jack' and 'Phil Spector,' the sketch finds Hader's Pacino making HBO biopics where he plays every convicted murderer under the sun.
Last night's SNL saw saw Vince Vaughn hosting for the second time...although it's been fifteen years since he last graced this particular state. For his opening monologue, the 'Swingers' and 'Wedding Crashers' star didn't do anything traditional, opting to do what he does best: riff. And with no Owen Wilson around, Vaughn turned to the audience to be his comedic sparring partner.
The CW seems to have opened a hole in its fall lineup recently, removing 'Cult' off the schedule in a move that likely represents cancellation. Sad news in the comedy world today as famed comedian Jonathan Winters has died at the age of 87. Winters is remembered best for being a pioneer of improv comedy, voice characters,facial expressions and a regular guest on the Johnny Carson Show. But, I will always remember him best when he was a celebrity guest on the hit cartoon Scooby Doo.

Very late last night brought the news that MTV's 'Buckwild' would officially halt production, canceling the series after the tragic accident that took the life of 21-year-old star Shain Gandee and two others via carbon monoxide poisoning. Today MTV has issued its official statement on the matter, with plans to aid a special dedicated to Gandee this Sunday, but producer J.P. Williams had some harsh words for the cable network over the cancellation of MTV's 'Buckwild.'
