Soldier Dad Gives Kids a Huge Surprise After First Pitch at Diamondbacks Game

Six-year-old Jackson Aguirre and his five-year-old sister Alanna were pretty thrilled to have been chosen to throw out the first pitch at a recent Arizona Diamondbacks game. Which isn’t surprising, as that honor is usually reserved for luminaries, not a couple kids in elementary school.

Right before their big moment the stadium’s JumboTron displayed a video message from their dad, a soldier stationed in Afghanistan.

U.S. Navy Seals Save Two Hostages, Kill Nine Assbags.

U.S. Navy Seals Are The Honeybadgers Of The World! Have them go after Bin Laden? Have them rescue a hostage? The U.S. Navy seals will do it and just not give a sh!t!  They are badass incarnate and hopefully the way of the future.

Can Electricity Shock Your Brain Into Learning Faster? It Works for the Air Force

One of the toughest things to teach Air Force pilots who guide unmanned attack drones is how to accurately spot targets in complex radar images. Researchers, however, have found a way to cut that lengthy training time in half.

Delivering a mild electrical current to pilots’ brains through EEG electrodes placed on the scalp — a process called transcranial direct current stimulation (TDCS) — can accelerate learning and improve pilot accuracy. In addition, that accuracy is sustained for up to 40 minutes, whereas it otherwise typically declines after 20 minutes.
