With Body Count's latest album Bloodlust set to be released in March, there's a new teaser with frontman Ice-T talking about their upcoming single "No Lives Matter," which will be unleashed on Feb. 17.

“When I say ‘Black Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter,’ that’s like if I was to say ‘Gay Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter,’ if I said ‘Women’s Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter.’ You’re diluting what I’m saying, you’re diluting the issue,” Ice-T says. “The issue isn’t about everybody, it’s about black lives at the moment. But the truth of the matter is they don’t really give a f—k about anybody if you break the s—t down to the low f—king dirty ass truth.”

The politically charged album covers topics ranging from police brutality to racism to social inequality and features guest appearances from Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe and Soulfly's Max Cavalera.

“Music happens in climates,” Ice-T says. “Groups like Rage Against The Machine and Korn were born when the world was in turmoil, then music went into this delusional period where hip-hop became about nothing more than poppin’ bottles."

"Now we have impending doom again, racism is at an all-time high and it’s our season again," he exclaims. "This is the optimal time for a Body Count record – as an artist, you can be as pissed off as you want, but if the audience is dormant and care more about their chai lattes, well…”

Body Count initially revealed plans for the "No Lives Matter" single back in December. Check out that tease here. The band will be touring with Megadeth later this year.
