Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit DVD and Blu-ray on April 5, but if you can’t wait that long, we’ve got good news. Like many big Hollywood releases, Star Wars is coming to iTunes early. You’ll be able to download The Force Awakens on March 15 with special features, including seven new deleted scenes.
Ready for the Oscars this Sunday? Need help winning your Oscar pool? The ScreenCrush staff — Editor-in-Chief Mike Sampson, Managing Editor Matt Singer and Senior Editor Erin Whitney — are here to help, or at least try their best anyway. They’ve seen all the movies (yes, even those documentary shorts!) and have come back with a definitive list of who will win at the 2016 Oscars. Normally these lists might have a lot of disparity, but strangely this year’s panel of experts largely agrees on the winners. That could mean good things for you and your office pool. Follow these selections to Oscar glory and bring home all the spoils. Or, come back on Monday morning to yell at them for they gave you really bad advice.
There were a lot of Captain America: Civil War fans who were waiting for another full trailer after the Super Bowl 50 commercial. That trailer has yet to arrive, but Empire Magazine has just debuted the cover for their Captain America: Civil War issue, which features a pretty rad new image of Cap and Iron Man going face-to-face...
Getting Comic-Con tickets isn’t easy. The process is difficult and complicated and extremely crowded. But, if you want to go to Comic-Con 2016 (and, we think you’re going to want to), we can help you sort through the confusion and answer any questions you might have so you can score yourself tickets for this year’s big event.
Leonardo DiCaprio has never won an Oscar. We’ve heard this narrative time and time again, especially as he inches closer and closer to finally winning an Academy Award for his work in The Revenant, but it’s time for us as a people to stand up and do something about it. OK, maybe just sit down and do something about it. And by “do something” we mean play a video game. Yes, in Leo’s Red Carpet Rampage, you can finally help the unlucky actor chase down that elusive Oscar. If only you can avoid getting bumped by Lady Gaga.
Last night the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers in convincing fashion in Super Bowl 50 as Peyton Manning will likely retire with his 200th win and now a two-time Super Bowl winner. But more importantly THERE WERE MOVIE TRAILERS. Lots of them. While we covered them individually last night, we’re going to go through each one this morning and, in the spirit of the Super Bowl, see who was the best.
About 20 years ago, the original Independence Day had one of the most memorable Super Bowl trailers of all-time. Today, Independence Day returned to the Super Bowl with a commercial for the upcoming sequel (subtitled Resurgence), but could it hold a candle to the original?
Earlier this week, Coca-Cola and Marvel teased a team-up during the Super Bowl by sending out mini-cans of Coke branded with different members of the Avengers. Both sides promised not to reveal the contents of the commercial until it aired during the Super Bowl. Now that it’s aired we know that the biggest and littlest Avengers — Hulk and Ant-Man — are doing battle over the last can of Coke.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Super Bowl trailer had to do something to stand out among some of the other movies with Super Bowl commercials (like Captain America: Civil War, Jason Bourne, The Jungle Book and 10 Cloverfield Lane), so they pulled out all the stops and revealed our first look at the classic Ninja Turtles villain Krang.
This year’s Super Bowl brought with us not only our first look at footage from the upcoming Jason Bourne movie (which reunites star Matt Damon with his previous director Paul Greengrass), but also an official reveal of the film’s title.
The Super Bowl commercials weren’t without some early surprises and who better to keep and deliver a secret than J.J. Abrams. Though it was widely reported that Paramount would use their Super Bowl ad time on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 trailer, it turns out that might’ve been a clever bit of misdirection. Right before kickoff, Paramount instead debuted a revealing new 10 Cloverfield Lane trailer, which gives some serious hints at its connection to the original Cloverfield.
