‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ Director’s Race — Guillermo del Toro Is Officially Out, FYI
As is the norm now, all anyone is talking about is the upcoming 'Star Wars: Episode 7' and its subsequent trilogy, and who will be replacing George Lucas as the new 'Star Wars' director. Just a heads up, this is all anyone will be rumbling about for the next couple years until the franchise gets off the ground, so get comfortable.
Most of what we know is speculation, especially with regards to who'll be sitting in the director's chair, but we do know who won't be getting behind the camera. The latest name to pull himself out of the race for the title of 'Star Wars: Episode 7' director is 'Pacific Rim' helmer Guillermo del Toro.

‘Texas Chainsaw 2′ Bringing Back Leatherface for More Shenanigans
'Texas Chainsaw 3D,' the latest edition to Tobe Hooper's 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' franchise, hit theaters recently and emerged as the top box office earner this past weekend. While some critics thought this new chapter would bomb, thereby bringing an end to the classic collection of horror movies, we thought it made for a good edition. And so apparently did the studio, as word has leaked out that a sequel will be coming our way.

Roger Ebert Names the Best Movies of 2012, And His Top Pick Is…
2012 turned out to be a big year for movies -- 'The Avengers' and 'The Dark Knight Rises' helped make superhero movies cool again, while 'Cloud Atlas' and 'Life of Pi' painted mind-blowing visual effects on the screen, and Ben Affleck and Quentin Tarantino debuted their latest projects. For famed film critic Roger Ebert, it was a busy time as well, having written a personal record of 300 movie reviews in 12 months. But which one of all these films did he pick as the absolute best of 2012?
Being that it's the end of the year and all, Ebert put together his "Top 10" list of the best films of 2012 and he gave the top spot to...

‘Phantom’ Trailer: Can David Duchovny Steal Ed Harris’ Sub?
We haven't seen much of David Duchovny outside of his gig in the Showtime series 'Californication,' but the former 'X-Files' star is back in action for the new "suspense submarine thriller" 'Phantom' with Ed Harris as the sub captain who's haunted by his past and his disorienting seizures. Fun!

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ Spoilers: Jamie Foxx Reveals Electro’s Origins
While Jamie Foxx will soon hit the big screen in the title role of Quentin Tarantino's latest, 'Django Unchained,' the world is still reeling from his next big casting (excuse the pun) shocker -- he'll be starring in Marc Webb's upcoming 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' as the villain Electro.
Comic book fans know some details about this character already, including his ability to wield electricity, but how close exactly is Webb planning on sticking with his story line from the comics? Fortunately, we don't have think on it much, as Foxx has already revealed the origins of Spidey's nemesis.

‘The Expendables 3′ Inducts Jackie Chan to the Team
The all-star cast of the 'Expendables' franchise is gearing up for a third installment, which our buddy Sylvester Stallone has already said is hoping will include an abundance of "new blood." There've been a number of names thrown into the mix -- one of which was Nicolas Cage, though Sly insists he has no knowledge regarding that particular rumor -- but someone brand-new to the crew has confirmed to have officially boarded the action star-filled 'Expendables 3,' and that's Mr. Jackie Chan.

‘Die Hard 5′ Poster: It’s the McClanes vs. Everyone Else!
'Die Hard 5' (dubbed 'A Good Day to Die Hard') will be upon us sooner than you think, which means it's time to break out more teasers and footage. Aside from the first two trailers, the poster that made the rounds a while back was a bit of a let down. At the time, we were up for anything to get hyped over, but now we need something with a bit more substance. Bring in the new 'Die Hard 5' poster!

‘Tron 3′ Bringing Back Garrett Hedlund to Lead the Charge
It wasn't too long ago that work on a 'Tron 3,' the sequel to 2010's Disney action flick 'Tron: Legacy,' was announced with 'Eragon' writer Jesse Wigutow whipping up a script treatment. Considering how poor the Joseph Kosinski-directed movie performed, it wasn't that big of a surprise that the studio decided to swap out their writing team, but there is one person from 'Legacy' Disney will definitely be sticking with, and that's Garrett Hedlund, aka Sam Flynn himself.

‘Jack the Giant Slayer’ Poster: Into the Belly of the Beast!
Before Bryan Singer turns all his attention to 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' with his ultimate all-star troupe of past and present 'X-Men' movie casts, he first must tie up loose ends with 'Jack the Giant Slayer.' Not too long ago, he finished cutting together the new trailer, which is now joined by an all-new poster featuring our hero strolling right into the giant's den... well, mouth.
