‘Lights Out’ Trailer: Everyone Is Afraid of the Dark
In addition to directing The Conjuring 2, James Wan produced another horror film that’s also hitting theaters this year: Lights Out, the directorial debut of David Sandberg, based on his creepy short film of the same name. The first trailer is here, and it’s definitely something you want to watch with the lights on. But don’t feel embarrassed about it — everyone is afraid of the dark.
‘Captain America: Civil War’ Trailer: Black Widow and Hawkeye Duke It Out
Now that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has arrived in theaters, it’s time to start looking forward to another epic superhero battle. Captain America: Civil War hits theaters in just over a month, and though this international trailer features familiar scenes, it also offers some new footage, including a special moment between Black Widow and Hawkeye.
Wonder Woman Is the Biggest Reason People Want to See ‘Batman vs. Superman’
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's right there in the title: Batman fighting Superman is the titular attraction (and also maybe some justice?), and yet according to a new survey, Wonder Woman is the part of the film audiences are looking forward to the most. Gal Gadot's debut as the iconic superhero ranked highest in the poll, with Jesse Eisenberg's wacky take on Lex Luthor coming in second.
‘The Nice Guys’ Trailer: Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe Try to Behave Like Professionals
It’s nice to be reminded that Shane Black has a new movie hitting theaters soon. And in case you forgot, a new trailer for The Nice Guys has arrived, teasing Black’s noir action-comedy starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe as a mismatched investigative team who get in way over their heads while trying to solve the disappearance of a young woman. That plot sounds a bit serious, but the latest trailer promises it’s anything but. (Okay, maybe it’s a little serious. Just a little.)
‘Batman vs. Superman’ Breaks Fandango’s Superhero Movie Pre-Sale Record
It’ll be several more days before we find out if Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice managed to break any box office records (early predictions suggest it might not), but Zack Snyder’s superhero epic has already broke at least one record: the film now holds the record for highest ticketing pre-sales…at Fandango, anyway.

‘Batman vs. Superman’ B-Roll Footage Shows Off the Batmobile, Explosions and Goofy Actors

Four minutes of B-roll footage has arrived online, offering a sneak peek at some previously unseen sequences, along with another look at the Batmobile in action and one particularly silly Laurence Fishburne.

‘The Shallows’ Trailer: Blake Lively Makes for Lively Shark Bait
Surprise! Jaume Collet-Serra has a new movie that doesn’t star Liam Neeson! Unless maybe he plays the shark? The first trailer for The Shallows teases a much smaller thriller from the director of Neeson flicks Non-Stop and Run All Night, and although this is a much more simple film, Collet-Serra’s latest already looks more thrilling and intense than his recent efforts.
‘Preacher’ Review: AMC’s Pitch-Perfect Adaptation Is One Hell of a Good Time
Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s Preacher is one of those tricky properties to properly adapt. Remain too faithful and you run the risk of creating a laughably absurd, tonally catastrophic mess. Venture too far away from the source material and you may alienate the very fan base you wish to please. Thankfully, producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and showrunner Sam Catlin have hit that rare sweet spot, and though the pilot episode of AMC’s Preacher does recalibrate some of Ennis and Dillon’s basic plotting and setups, the essential spirit and characters of the graphic novel remain delightfully the same.
