Anthrax are big fans of the hit HBO series 'Game of Thrones,' and visited the show's set in Belfast, Ireland, last summer. The band has been posting photos from the studio recently on their Facebook page with the hashtag #CatchTheThrone (see below), which could very well mean they're recording track for an upcoming 'Game of Thrones' mixtape.

It was revealed a couple weeks ago that HBO is creating a 'Catch the Throne' mixtape for season five of the show, with Killswitch Engage one of the bands participating. Frontman Jesse Leach posted the news on his Instagram along with photos from the studio.

His message said in part, "Today was a really really really cool day! Still can't believe HBO filmed little band (that started in a small bedroom in Massachusetts) and is putting out one of our songs for a little show called 'Game of Thrones'!"

Anthrax are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2010's 'Worship Music,' with the album expected to be released sometime in 2015. The band expressed the desire to record some of the drums for the record in the 'Game of Thrones' infamous throne room. They haven't said if that happened yet, but with the show's executive producer a big Anthrax fan, you never know.
