Well, earlier I wrote this 'open letter' on my Facebook page and due to the overwhelming response, I decided to share it with you on the Rock 108 website. That way, you don't have to be a friend or a friend of a friend or whatever to read this.

Ya know, it seems everyday I check my email and get bombarded by political crap. I log on to Facebook and get hammered with the same.

I'm not pointing fingers because I've been guilty of it myself in the past, but enough is enough. This crap has to stop.

You don't care about my political views and I don't care about yours. The more you post on Facebook, the more people you turn away from your candidate and party. You're more damn irritating than a polyester wearing 1970's pushy used car salesman (no offense to current friends that sell cars, you get the point). Your ability to read and believe an email that was created via propaganda, forwarded to all of your hillbilly friends, and debunked a million times is as impressive as a wet fart.

This is an open letter to those who vote based on political party (rep, dem, tea, etc)...you're a mindless, soulless, ignorant follower who doesn't deserve to live in this great country. This land was built on courageous free thinkers, not lemmings like you. If that is you, please unfriend me now.

If you happen to be a person who actually does your research (instead of letting a party dictate how you vote) that isn't based on Facebook and forwarded email, then I am proud to call you friend, regardless of the candidate you vote for. Your vote should be influenced by your research based on who you think can best serve the interest of the United States of America. Not based on what I or anyone else says. Our vote doesn't have to be the same, as long as we both vote with an open mind and strong conviction.

Be yourself. Cast your vote, not one decided by someone else.

In the end, I may or may not like who was elected, but as an American, I will respect the position of the POTUS and will support that person as he/she will be our leader.

After reading this a few times, I felt like there should have been some kind of cliche patriotic music playing in the background.
