Australian rock ‘n’ roll legends AC/DC are hoping to hit the studio again sometime this year to record the follow-up to their 2008 release ‘Black Ice.’ AC/DC singer Brian Johnson recently appeared on the ‘Cowhead’ radio show to speak about health issues within the band and his desire to write again.

Within Johnson’s discussion with Mike “Cowhead” Calta, the legendary frontman revealed that an unspecified health issue was affecting one of the members of AC/DC. “One of the boys is a little sick and I can’t say anything, but he’s getting better,” Johnson told the radio audience. “He’s doing wonderful. Full recovery fully expected.”

The ‘Back in Black’ vocalist also gave some insight on the inner-workings of an AC/DC jam session. “It’s a wonderful thing when we get in a room,” raved Johnson. “Whenever the boys get back together, I get all excited. The boys, after a while, pick the guitars up, Phil [Rudd] will make his way to the drums, Cliff [Williams] will pull his bass out and then all of a sudden this noise comes out and I sit there with just this big old grin on my face.”

AC/DC’s 2008 LP ‘Black Ice’ debuted at No. 1 in 29 countries and has sold 6 million copies worldwide. ‘Black Ice’ was also the band’s first album to top the Billboard 200 albums chart since their 1981 release ‘For Those About to Rock We Salute You.’
