There will be a Texas-sized celebration in the 'Key City' with the Abilene Freedom Festival July 3rd and July 4th.

Presented by Lawrence Hall, Star Dodge, Arrow Ford and Toyota of Abilene, the two-day celebration kicks off on July 3rd at 6:30 in downtown Abilene with the Justice Construction Stars and Stripes parade followed by a special showing of 'Captain America: The First Avenger' at the Historic Paramount Theatre.

That's just the tip of the iceberg.

On July 4th, the festivities get going at 10am at Taylor County Expo Center with a ton of fun lined up for the day including entertainment, vendors and food. There will be a bike show, kids area, as well as live music and so much more.

Finally, the night will be topped off with the Wes Tex Connect fireworks spectacular.

Tickets are $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for children, and kids 5 and under are free. You can also purchase tailgate spots for an up-close and personal experience. Chairs are also welcomed and encouraged.
