Me thinks we've reached the point of over regulating.

YouTube has been removing videos of robot fights, mistaking them for videos that show "deliberate infliction of animal suffering." Most of the videos were from accounts of competitors of the old show Battlebots. Here is a reminder of what Battlebots was.

YouTubers were getting emails saying that they couldn't have videos that showed animals being forced to fight. Of course people can challenge this decision, but what in the world made YouTube think the fighting robots were animals? Maybe it's just a precursor to robots becoming sentient beings?

It's unclear why the videos were flagged, or whether it was an algorithm or a human that flagged them. There were animal names in the titles of the some of the videos, so that might have caused the flag.

YouTube has since reinstated the videos in question.
