Update: Weezer have posted that someone has purchased that $25,000 Experience Bundle. Read their humorous post on the matter below.

Weezer have not only carved out a successful career that has seen them reach the heights of the music industry, but they've also shown a knack over the years for not taking things too seriously. So, as the band prepares to release their latest disc, dubbed The White Album, they've joined the trend of acts offering special bundle options to incentivize fans to purchase their music. But being that this is Weezer, they are having a little fun with one of the packages.

The group has offered a package called "The Experience Bundle" that goes for $25,000 (and a little bit more if you read into the details). This ultimate bundle starts with you and Rivers Cuomo taking a Greyhound bus to the Galapagos Islands where you'll stay for a limited time. While there, you'll go bird watching and try to find the elusive White-cheeked pintail. From there, you'll go on a catamaran ride to the Charles Darwin Research Station. Along the way, you'll sing "The British Are Coming" lyrics with Rivers, but will replace all mentions of "Old King George" to "Lonesome George." And yes, you will be named "King of the World" for a day. All this comes, of course, with a signed copy of Weezer's new album and tickets to a show on their summer tour with Panic! At the Disco.

But if you dig a little deeper, you'll see that not only are you footing the $25,000 bill, but also are required to pay for Rivers' travel expenses. The bundle option concludes with a mention that fans should note that this pre-order item comes with a release date of April 1 (aka April Fool's Day). Check out the awesome bundle package here.

On a more serious note, Weezer do have a number of bundle packages that are more reasonably priced. You'll be able to add things like a pocket t-shirt, hat, a Weezer frisbee and a crewneck sweatshirt to your CD purchase. To see all of the bundle options available, check out the band's webstore. And keep an eye out for Weezer's The White Album, which will be arriving on April 1. You can catch Weezer on tour this spring and summer at these stops.
