Seems like a lot of people really want to be a Texan. Check out which 5 cities are some of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. While there are many wonderful places people can move to in the United States, looks like many Americans are heading South and West to make a home. The US Census Bureau recently released new population estimates that show the fastest growing cities are in both areas. Not only are cities in the South and West growing, but more specifically Texas! Out of the top ten cities, five of them were in the Lone Star State- New Braunfels, Frisco, McKinney, Georgetown, and Rowlett.

Metropolitan areas that fared well included San Antonio, Austin, and Forth Worth. Those cities saw some of the biggest growth within that year and have continued to grow since then. Here is the list of the cities in the United States that had the largest percentage growth from 2017 and 2018:

  1. Buckee, Arizona
  2. New Braunfels, Texas
  3. Apex, North Carolina
  4. Frisco, Texas
  5. Meridian, Idaho
