The Rolling Stones have been rumored to headline next year's Isle of Wight festival, but as it turns out, a different type of 'stone' has been confirmed for the legendary fest's 2013 lineup.
The Stone Roses' reunion concerts over the summer in their hometown of Manchester, England, have set a Guinness World Record for the fastest selling rock concerts in U.K. history. Tickets for the three gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park at the end of June and beginning of July certainly sold at a swift pace, and all 220,000 were gone in a mere 68 minutes.
The Stone Roses reportedly are working on material for a new album and plan to release it some time in 2013. The veteran British rockers, who reunited last year for a series of gigs after more than 15 years apart, haven’t released an album since their 1994 sophomore set, ’Second Coming.’
