Stephen Colbert has been sorely missing from late-night, and we don’t mean the one hosting CBS’ Late Show night after night. Thankfully, The Colbert Report version made a welcome return to a changed political landscape last night, along with none other than former Comedy Central buddy Jon Stewart.

The future of Star Trek may not divide humanity by nations of Earth, but back in the 21st century, CBS All-Access subscribers in the U.S. may have reason to envy abroad. The new Star Trek series will be made available on Netflix in international markets, with new episodes streaming shortly after their premiere.

Two and a Half Men has long-since faded from the CBS spotlight, and erstwhile series star Charlie Sheen himself has been understandably quiet since news of his HIV diagnosis last year. Now, a new interview with Matt Lauer sees the star with a long list of regrets, among them the controversial exit that nearly ended Two and a Half Men altogether.

If ever you thought that Zoo or Under the Dome had CBS skewing a little out-there with its summer series, boy, is BrainDead going to fry your … uh, right. The new Congress-ate-my-brains alien drama starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Tony Shalhoub has a first trailer, from the creators of The Good Wife, no less.

According to The Wrap, CBS has partnered with digital video company Interlude (those behind that viral channel-changing lip-sync of “Like a Rolling Stone”) for the “original interactive project” allowing Twilight Zone viewers to “step in and become a part of the story.” BioShock creator Ken Levine will even write and direct the pilot episode.

Earlier today saw Supergirl and The Flash keeping their crossover under wraps with a fleeting new teaser, but Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin have just too much fun to be contained. See the “Worlds Finest” in action with the full set of adorable crossover photos for TV’s brightest DC heroes!

CBS’ Supergirl has gone pretty all-in when it comes to depicting outlandish DC characters, and the next to pop up on the comic drama is downright scary. Following a Flash-y cameo, the first full look at Italia Ricci as DC big bad Silver Banshee has arrived, howling makeup and all.

Supergirl has almost built its own universe faster than the world around it, and now the CBS drama will flesh out one of its mythology’s most recognizable assets. Check out Supergirl’s Superman-free take on the Fortress of Solitude, coinciding with the arrival of another past Supergirl, Laura Vandervoort.

A ways back, we’d heard that the ever-clever MacGyver had reinvented himself with a new CBS series under Furious 7 helmer James Wan, returning to that faithful well of a young origin story. That dream is today reality for he Eye, as CBS grants an official pilot order to a new generation of MacGyver, with sexy results.
