If you're a metal fan and the owner of an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you're in for a treat. Starting July 19, a new mobile video game called "Judas Priest: Road to Valhalla" will be available for your iOS device, and available at this location.

The app is quite cool in that players will have access to isolated song stems (drums, guitars, vocals, etc.) and will progress through each level of the game by filling "stem meters" to construct full songs using an innovative visual mechanic.

The music itself is all taken from Judas Priest's 2016 live album, Battle Cry, and will allow players to work with such classic tracks as "Breaking the Law," "Turbo Lover," "Electric Eye," "Painkiller" and "You’ve Got Another Thing Coming," as well as "Halls of Valhalla" from the band's most recent studio album, Redeemer of Souls.

Singer Rob Halford states, "When we set out to make this game, we wanted to give fans a new kind of visual listening experience. For the first time, we are making individual stems of our songs available to fans to give them a new and interactive way to engage with some of the best songs from our catalog." The iconic vocalist also appears in a series of exclusive video clips throughout the game.

Meanwhile, the entire band adds, "Metalheads, Judas Priest wants to take you to Valhalla … Immerse yourself in the exciting fast paced adrenaline ride where you take control and spin the wheels of metal fury taking on the challenges that hurl you full throttle towards your destiny! Horns up and hails from Rob, Glenn, Richie, Ian and Scott!"

"Judas Priest: Road to Valhalla" was developed by Judas Priest, Sony Music Entertainment, Trinifold Management and Babaroga, a leading mobile game studio, and it is available now at the App Store. In the meantime, you can check out a video preview of a song stem segment above and screen shots from the game below.
