Sean Clements of Austin, Texas is seeking the return of his French Bulldog named Freya. What led to the theft? Here's what is known at the time of writing.

When Did The Theft Of The French Bulldog Occur?

KXAN-TV reports that Sean Clements was taking his two dogs, a French bulldog Freya and Jack Russell Terrier named Loki, on a walk around ThinkEast Apartments on Sunday February 2nd, 2025. While the walk was ongoing, Clements reported than unknown individual pulled beside him in, at the time of writing, an unidentified vehicle.

The situation started normal, but quickly escalated, per Clements:

“Guy, just pulled up in the car and said, ‘Hey, is that a Frenchie?'...I said, ‘Yeah,’ and he jumped out the car with this pistol.”

Clements began to fight for his dog, and unfortunately sustained a gunshot wound while trying to fight and keep Freya with him. Despite the struggle, Freya was taken from Clements.

Did Anybody See The Incident Happen?

As revealed by KXAN, authorities were alerted to the incident after someone, who was inside ThinkEast Apartment, quickly called 911. Austin Police also told KXAN:

“The victim was treated at the scene by Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS)…At this time, there is no active threat to the public.”

Surprisingly however, Clements told KXAN that his French Bulldog being stolen wasn't the first theft of the day. According to Clements:

“The detective told me I was the second person who had a French bulldog stolen yesterday (Sunday)."

However Clements just wants one major thing to happen:

“I don’t care about anything else, I won’t press charges. I just want my dog back.”

As this a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
