Last Friday, Lee Gilley was arrested, charged with capital murder, and booked in Harris County Jail, four days after calling 911 to report his pregnant wife Christa Gilley's alleged suicide by overdose. His bond hearing is this Thursday, and to say the least, this case is thus far, very disturbing.

Here's what we know:

Gilley claimed he woke up and found his wife unresponsive in bed. He told emergency services he was attempting to do CPR on his wife, and that he believed she committed suicide by overdosing. He also told cops his wife was NOT suicidal, and that she was not a drug user, and then admitted to arguing with her before they went to bed that night...

It turns out, that the hospital physician and medical examiner found his wife's injuries to be consistent with strangulation. Doctors say she was 9 weeks pregnant when she died.

So far, the DA claims they have good reason to believe Lee Gilley caused the death of his wife and her unborn child intentionally by "applying pressure" to her neck and upper back.

KHOU reported that Christa's family and friends are devastated by her passing and the loss of her baby.
