Everything is bigger in Texas, but where does our biggest theme park rank?

Theme Parks

I am a lover of theme parks. I spent one glorious summer working at Knott's Berry Farm in California and loved everything about it.  I also lived in close proximity to Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios. There is a vibe and electricity you get at one of these parks, even if you're not a fan of the rides. Yes, I do love a well-themed ride, but I almost love walking around, checking out the shops and snacks just as much.

Six Flags Over Texas

There aren't many choices of theme parks in Texas. Yes, there are a few, but Six Flags Over Texas towers over all of the rest of them covering a whopping 212 acres with over 40 rides. It is certainly a mammoth theme park worth of being called, "The Biggest In Texas". A nice presence from Looney Tunes characters gives the place some personality as well. It is certainly highly recommended for out-of-state visitors.

How Does It Rate

This does bring up the question, "How big is it next to other theme parks?". Universal Studios Hollywood and my beloved Knott's come in smaller at 160 acres, and Disneyland is 164 acres (presumably not including the companion "California Adventures" park). Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California comes in larger at 262 acres, and Disney World Florida is actually 40 square miles! Of course, this is truly a case of "size doesn't matter", it's really about your favorite themes, food, and characters.
