
Texas Parents Speak Out on Bullying in Local Schools
(KNUE-FM) While I am not a parent myself, I have seen lots of East Texas parents online in the past month and they have serious concerns about what is taking place in schools around our area. The biggest complaint I have seen is about the unnecessary bullying that is taking place.
We can all agree that bullying is something that no kid in Texas or anywhere should have to deal with, but we also know that kids will do things without thinking of the consequences.
How Parents Can Talk to Their Kids About Bullying
As a parent, it’s important to talk to your kids about bullying. You need to teach them bullying another student is not acceptable and comes with serious consequences. It’s also important to teach them what to do if someone is bullying them. These can be difficult conversations but it’s part of preparing them for the real world.

Steps to Take if Bullying Doesn’t Stop
Seeing your kids in a tough situation and feeling helpless because you can’t change things for them is miserable. Which is why it’s important to keep a level head and do everything possible to find a resolution so your kid can continue to stay focused on their education.

When to Seek Help Beyond the School
If you feel like you have tried everything, and you still can’t stop your child from being bullied at school, here are some tips that have been helpful for other parents.
