‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Clip: Quill Treats Gamora to Some More of That Pelvic Sorcery
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ad campaign is doing a great job at bombarding us all with content so that none of us can forget that the movie comes out in a little less than two weeks. The latest look at the movie features a quiet, somewhat sweet moment between Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana), as he tries yet again to teach her how to love music just as much as he does.
As the dulcet tones of Sam Cooke’s “Bring It on Home to Me” flow through the palpable sexual tension in the air, the two Guardians share a quick dance during one of those rare quiet spells when no aliens are trying to kill them. Complain all you want about the labored romantic subplot in this, but come onnnnn, this is kinda cute. Of course, like all things, this must end, and in an extremely Gamora way, too.
“If you ever tell anyone about this, I will kill you,” she says. It’s Gamora, so we know she’s definitely telling the truth.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5.
