Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody Donates Sleeping Bags to Homeless Youth
Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody is helping those less fortunate. The rocker recently helped secure a donation of sleeping bags for a non-profit organization that helps homeless youth in Colorado.
According to a report by Fox 21 News, Moody teamed up with local rock radio station 94.3 KILO to present 50 sleeping bags to Urban Peak Colorado Springs, a non-profit that helps youth “exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives.” Watch the news report in the player below.
According to the FOX report, Ivan Moody -- who originally hails from the Denver area -- was in town last week with the band. He contacted the local radio station and helped get the 50 sleeping bags to the organization. In 2016, Urban Peak Colorado Springs supported 468 youth through street outreach, 146 youth were provided with shelter, and 46 youth were in our apartment programs.
Five Finger Death Punch have made habit of giving back. Over the summer, the group donated $95,000 to C.O.P.S. – Concerns Of Police Survivors, while tour mates Breaking Benjamin also gave $95,000 to Prevent Child Abuse America.
We recently reported that FFDP’s drummer Jeremy Spencer will sit out on the band’s current co-headlining tour with Breaking Benjamin to undergo back surgery. Drum Prodigy “The Engine,” whose full name was not revealed, is sitting in behind the kit for the rest of the outing. Check out their tour dates here.
