"You won't know until you begin," sang David Lee Roth on Van Halen's 1984 album favorite "Jump." So for those of you wondering how David Lee Roth would go over with an EDM dance crowd, we suggest you press play on the player below where you can watch his collaboration with EDM superstar Armin Van Buuren at the recent Ultra Music Festival.

Roth recently worked with Van Buuren for a remix of "Jump" and decided to put in an appearance to help his new friend at the festival. Van Buuren told Rolling Stone that the remix idea came about when a friend offered to send him the stems of the song.

"I'm like, 'Yeah, hell yeah,'" the producer said. "I knew the song already as a kid. I think I was 6 years old when the track was a No. 1 hit everywhere. I was just eager to have the stems, because I always thought, 'What if you could have the energy of that song from 1982 and transfer it to 2019?'"

Upon getting Roth's approval, Van Buuren proceeded with his updated mix. "Just the fact that David is open for such a thing is quite huge to me," Van Buuren said. "I agree with all of that," Roth added. "It's the first step toward world peace if we can do it."

As for the performance, Roth serves a bit as his own hype man, as he implored the crowd to "jump" along while his own remixed vocals play during Van Buuren's set.
