Cowboys’ Latest Contract Offer to Dak Has $105 Million Guaranteed
The Cowboys are looking to get Dak Prescott locked into a contract and they are willing to pay to keep him. The latest offer to Dak is said to include $105 million guaranteed with a yearly salary in the $33 million range.
Reports also say that Dak's representatives have met with the Cowboys twice since the NFL Scouting Combine. One potential issue that could affect Dak's contract negotiations and other free agents is the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. There are a lot of rumors swirling that the owners actually don't want the players to sign off on the new deal because they want to try to negotiate an 18 game schedule. The players have until 11:59 pm on March 12th to vote yea or nay on the new deal.
Dak had a phenomenal year this past season throwing for 4,902 yard and 30 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 65.1. Because of the great year he had, he's looking for a deal comparable to the one Russell Wilson signed last August. Wilson's deal was a four-year extension with $107 million guaranteed, and it's worth around $35 million per year.
