Buzz is Unprofessional, Just Look at His Desk

It's well known that Buzz isn't going to win an professionalism awards. Well, we now have proof that his desk shows that he is unprofessional. We found an article that explains things you shouldn't have strewn about your desk:

1. Food dishes and containers - This shows a lack of time management and a lack of respect for your coworkers and the shared office space.
   1. BUZZ - YES
2. Sticky notes, everywhere - This is one that Buzz doesn't have a problem with. Of course, I wouldn't mind him having this problem because that would show some semblance of organization and note taking on his part.
   1. BUZZ - NO
3. Suggestive Pictures or Calendars - This tends to be a problem in the studio but it's not usually Buzz that creates it. So we'll give him a pass on this one. And of course, the reason you don't want this on your desk is it can be offensive.
   1. BUZZ - NO
4. An Open Purse - I tried to pin this one on Buzz because even though he doesn't have a purse, he does keep his wallet and things from his pocket just laying around the desk. This makes you look careless.
   1. BUZZ - NO
5. Anything to elevate your monitor that wasn't designed to - Someone does this in the studio I'm in and it drives me nuts. But this is another one Buzz does not have. The reason to not have this? It's an eye sore.
   1. BUZZ - NO
6. Political paraphernalia - Buzz has this times ten. So much Trump crap. And the reason you don't want this is you run the risk of looking inappropriate.

7. Toys - Another one that Buzz has a ton of. This does depend on your office setting though. If you have a fun and easy going office it's not so bad. But it can make you look childish.
   1. BUZZ - YES
8. Scattered toiletries - Buzz has Kleenex, Q-tips, etc. all around his desk. Although the reason you don't want to have this stuff around you is it makes it look like you are more about your appearance than your job. I guarantee that's not Buzz's reason.

9. A pack of cigarettes - While he doesn't have an actual pack of cigarettes, he does have a ton of tobacco/nicotine products. This is really a social status thing that smoking has become so taboo.

10. Solo cups - Okay, so he doesn't have Solo cups, he does have shot glasses, etc. This makes people wonder if you're actually drinking on the job.

11. Seasonal decor that stays up - The only reason there isn't more Christmas stuff around his desk is because I took it down when he left on vacation. This just makes you look lazy.

12. Outrageous oddities - This is basically 50% of the studio. The point here is don't be so out there compared to everyone else because you'll just separate yourself from the rest of your coworkers.

So if you're keeping track, Buzz has 9 of the 12 things to NOT have on your desk if you want to look professional. Of course, is anyone surprised?

And in case you're wondering, this is a "clean" version of his desk because I just cleared out a bunch of crap while he was on vacation only a couple weeks ago.
