Code Orange showed off their revamped entrance music for pro wrestler Bray Wyatt when he debuted his new persona "The Fiend" during his return to the ring at WWE's Summerslam. But it wasn't the athlete or his business associates who requested the retooled theme. In fact, the members of Code Orange themselves reached out to Wyatt on Twitter to get the wheels in motion.

As drummer and vocalist Jami Morgan recently told Newsweek, the wrestling-minded rockers — who also count musicians Reba Meyers, Eric "Shade" Balderose, Joe Goldman and Dominic Landolina among their lot — took a chance at contacting the wrestler when he first followed them on the social media site.

"What happened was I saw that Bray had followed us on Twitter, and we've been following him since a couple of years ago when our record I Am King came out and that's around when he kicked off at the same time with his vignettes and vibe," Morgan explained. "And so I just messaged him and said 'Hey man, I think we should do something together and it makes a lot of sense' and he hit me back."

The musician continued, "I loved the old theme and [Bray] thought it would make sense to use the old theme, but we didn't know. We weren't sure exactly what was going to happen. So we decided to write our own stuff and we decided to do a new version. It's not meant to be a remix, it's more about using the vocals, because they are awesome, and the melody and make our own song based off of that."

Code Orange already have a history with WWE, playing Aleister Black to the ring during NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. The group are currently working on their follow-up to 2017’s breakout Forever. “I want you to feel something and be transported somewhere when you’re listening to it,” Morgan told Loudwire not long ago. “We want to continue to build that. I think the next [album] is gonna be even more so that, I think it’s gonna be coming at you from everywhere; multidimensional.”
