‘Beetlejuice’ Is The New Musical We Didn’t Know We Have To Go See
This musical has been in production for 8 years and it looks like it's almost time to finally go see this musical on Broadway! The trailer looks amazing. There are plenty of films that have become classics that younger generations are discovering and falling in love with just like you did. Heathers has been a hit and more movies are being turned into Broadway musicals and the Beetlejuice musical is finally ready to be seen by the masses. Some heavy hitters of the Broadway world are working on this musical which they say isn't just a remake of the movie. Starring as Beetlejuice is Tony-nominated Alex Brightman from School of Rock and Sophia Anna Caruso will be taking on the role of Lydia. The director is a Broadway alum, Alex Timbers who directed Moulin Rouge! and Peter and the Starcatcher. Timbers says the musical will be "edgy, funny and surprising."
The director also said that the musical will follow more of Lydia's emotional journey and the relationship between Beetlejuice, who wishes he was alive and Lydia who wishes she was dead.
