‘American Idol’ Winner Caleb Johnson to Join Trans-Siberian Orchestra for 2018 tour
American Idol season 13 winner Caleb Johnson has revealed he'll be joining the East Coast dates of the annual Trans-Siberian Orchestra holiday tour this fall and winter. The trek kicks off Nov. 14 in Green Bay, Wis. at the Resch Center.
"Stoked to announce that I’ll be rocking the east coast leg of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra winter arena tour! See you at a show!" the singer posted across his various social media platforms, along with the dates he'll be joining the ensemble, which can be viewed below.
Back when he was a contestant on American Idol in 2014, Johnson quickly gained a reputation for being a rock and roller, performing Aerosmith's "Dream On," Queen's "We Will Rock You" and the Bryan Adams/Tina Turner track "It's Only Love" during an opening medley with fellow finalist Jena Irene. He also got the chance to perform with KISS on the show's season finale on the songs "Shout it Out Loud" and "Love Gun."
Earlier this month, Trans-Siberian Orchestra announced that they will have an all-new production for "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve," which features the best of TSO and more for this year's run. "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve" comes from TSO founder Paul O'Neill, who shared a timeless story of a runaway who finds herself entering an abandoned theater. There will be 65 dates in all scheduled well into December. The full list of shows can be found at this location.
