Your George Washington Meme On Guns Is Fake

You guys will never know what it's like to be me. If I mess up a fact, I hear about it. That's why I try to research everything thrown at me. That's why things like this drive me nuts! This particular meme has been going around the internet since the beginning of the year, and it is FALSE.

The picture changes now and then but it always has the same quote:  "When government takes away citizens’ right to bear arms it becomes citizens’ duty to take away government’s right to govern."  The problem is, Washington NEVER said this or anything like it.  It didn't happen, no, no, no, sorry.  This meme has been firmly debunked, but may I bring up another point? I'm a decreasingly concerned with what anyone said 200 or 2000 years ago.  This is because I believe strongly in logic and science. Both call for even the proven to be questioned and requestioned.

The constitution says you have a right to own a gun, you don't need to justify it to anyone, especially by spreading b.s.
